Definitely a massive upgrade from my last pound store pyra, tips turn without much effort and the cube feels very light and smooth. There are only 2 magnets in each tip, with a third empty slot if you want to add an extra.

Bought this for my 13yo daughter as she has decided to branch out from 3x3 now that she has managed a pb of around 44 seconds using lbl. She wants to start learning other methods and seeing how they apply to other puzzles. The pyraminx is pretty good quality overall though the magnets that hold the tips in place are pretty weak, I've added some N35 magnets to the tips and it is sooo much better. Looking forward to seeing how my daughter adapts to this and other puzzles, she's asked for a megaminx next...

Being new to the pyraminx I thought I'd give this a try as I've used the QiYi MS 3x3 and loved it. This didn't disappoint, it feels great, magnet strength is enough. It turns smoothly and doesn't lock, feeling stable. The tips don't have magnets in but I don't think that's an issue. It comes in a hard plastic display case which is great if you like to keep your puzzles safe.

This budget magnetic pyraminx puzzle turns very well. I think it came quite loose and floppy but once you get used to it, it's fine. At least the actual puzzle didn't come wrapped in plastic like the 2x2 (hehe). The stickerless shades are really nice and the puzzle is quite matte, but not slippery. I ordered this along with the 2x2 and it arrived safely, without being blown up on the way or anything. Thank you!
